Stone mineral pages feel smooth and slightly waxy — nothing like paper, everything like writing. Ink sits on the surface cleanly with no bleed, no feathering, no ghosting to the other side. No special tools. No learning curve.

Excellent
The ideal match for stone paper. Oil-based ink bonds cleanly to the mineral surface. Crisp lines, no drag. Dries instantly.
Gel Pen
Excellent
Rich, bold lines with zero bleed-through. Water-based gel ink sits on the surface cleanly. Allow 2–3 seconds to fully set before closing the notebook.
Rollerball
Very Good
Fluid, effortless strokes. Slightly longer dry time than ballpoint — give it a moment before turning the page. Water-resistant once dry.
Fountain Pen
Test First
Ink-dependent. Pigment-based and iron gall inks generally work. Dye-based inks may bead or smear — the non-porous surface gives them nowhere to absorb. Test your ink before committing.

Fully waterproof — no wood pulp, no cellulose, nothing to absorb moisture. Survives submersion. Flood-proof archive. Write in the rain.

Heat Resistant
Standard paper ignites at 233°C — Fahrenheit 451. Forever Paper's ignition point is 341°C. The mineral core (80% of each page) is stable to 840°C and non-combustible. Fire-resistant, not fireproof.

Zinc oxide nanoparticles absorb UV-A radiation (315–380nm) at the page level — the wavelength that degrades polymer binders. HALS stabilisers provide a second line of defence. Every page independently UV-blocking.
